Zodiac finally got to follow the mayor to a Ranch where allot of different animals stayed after grabbing the journal then rampaging around for a pencil just to fine one in his pocket. He wanted to take it with him to start something he would be able to reflect on later. Though he may not look or act much like that type that worries over his progress Zodiac enjoys looking back at the progress he makes.
Like most places with so many creatures Whistling Grass Ranch seemed pretty noisy. Zodiac had jogged ahead of the mayor, not really caring if the high-spirited man came along or not, 'It's fun to have him around..' he had to admit to himself that the happy mood of the mayor was indeed contagious. Zodiac wore a fine grin as he looked idly around for someone to talk to about getting his own little furry companion. "RAAAAWR!" He yelled out loudly to grab someones attention, not embarrassed at all, as if he'd done it many times before. He crossed his arms as he waited as long as he'd have to for someone to approch...if anyone dared; Zodiac is uniquely calmly different in many ways, good luck to that cat he liked.

Sheldon hurriedly tried to catch up to the boy, only to be reminded that he was getting on in years and that he would be in no way able to keep up with the young man that seemed already quite comfortable in the town. He finally arrived at the front building of the ranch, where the family the owned it sold animals, feed, and other things. He looked around for one of the three Gregorsons to assist them, and noticed the daughter of the family, Liza, approaching the young man. Liza Gregorson's long ponytail swished from side to side as she approached the two men- the first was a familiar face, but the other she hasn't seen before. He had a very casual appearance, save for his stylish, forward-styled red hair. He looked relatively friendly, and his interesting entrance was definitely, well, interesting. She smiled warmly as she greeted the young man, as well as the much older one. "Well howdy, Sheldon! Who's this feller you got here?" she asked the mayor, his voice rich with a southern accent. The mayor panted, still out of breath from trying to keep up with Zodiac, answered with as few words as possible- "He's Zodiac. Just moved in. Wants a pet." he sighed, sweat dripping from the corners of his mustache. Liza smiled and outstretched her hand. "Well I'm Liza Gregorson. Me, my pa, and my brother own this ranch and supply the whole town with most'a it's dairy products and what-not. Ever need any tips on farming or need somewhere to buy some animals, we're the place. C'mon- we keep the strays out in the extra stall." she explained, leading the two out back to the barn where the livestock were kept. The pungent odor of manure and other farm necessities filled their nostrils. Next to the door from which they entered was a large stall filled with hay in which several animals, dogs and cats, lay, sleeping. "We've found all of them wandering around town. Take your pick- we don't mind what you name it or anything, so long as you treat it real nice." she said, gesturing with her arm to showcase his choices.

Zodiac looked over as the mayor joined him panting while another girl also came up to him. returned the girl's warm smile, he liked her accent, it was pretty cute. He listened to the Liza and Sheldon's conversation as he was introduced to the new girl. Zodiac followed the girl after their intros and what-not into the barn where the animals were staying. It wasn't as noisy as he thought, but the place smelled rather foul.
At least Zodiac didn't have to say much, in fact the only thing he did say up until now was, "Mama-Mia.." In his arms was a little white female cat with a brown tail, ears, muzzle, and paws. Her eyes were a bright, sparkling crystal blue, Zodiac liked her sleepy state though. He had found Mama-Mia curled up sweetly in a messy pile of hay. He'd picked her up without a protest while the cute little kitty yawned and settled comfortably in Zodiac's clutches. She was so cute the first thing that came into his mind was of his Mama, who was always pretty calm wherever she went and fit in easily; All Zodiac did was add Mia and get Mama-Mia, it was perfect. Hugging the tiny cat close Zodiac smiled and nodded, this was going to be his cat. (Ooc//I got a thread for Mama-Mia is it okay if I do that. It's just a quick thing as an example if it's okay to have I would put more detail into it? ^w^)

OOC: Go right head. It's your storage- you can do as you like. Liza smiled warmly as she watched Zodiac pick up the cat, then placed her hand on the creature's head. "Gonna be mighty sad to see you go, little one, but I'm sure you'll like your new owner even more." she whispered in the kitten's ear, sweetly. She then turned to Zodiac and smiled. "Anything you need to know about taking care of it will probably be in a book on your bookcase at your house. Be sure to take fine care of this little one- I'm sure it would hate having to leave you." she explained with a serious tone to her last statement. She started to walk out of the barn, but stopped herself, just before coasting out of view. She turned and looked over her shoulder at Zodiac before saying, "Good luck to you- with everything. I'm sure I'll see ya around, Zodiac." she called to him before turning the corner around the barn and heading back to the fields. Sheldon waved to her as she walked off, then turned back towards Zodiac. "There isn't a ton left I need to tell you- you'll find most of your necessities in your house already, so should you have any questions about town, feel free to find me either in my mansion or walking around town and I'd be glad to answer them. Good luck to you, Zodiac." he explained to the young man, with his hand resting on Zodiac's shoulder as he said it.

Zodiac smirked a good-bye to the girl as she disappeared, "For sure!" he called back. He'd go read about everything later, in the meantime home seemed nice right now, the day had been so full of events. He turned to the mayor as he started to speak and felt Sheldon's palm rest on his shoulder. His words were kind and simple, Zodiac didn't really have any questions to ask so he just said, "I'll make sure to do that. Well it has been fun spending the afternoon with ya Sheldon, be seeing you around later I guess."
Turning to go out of the barn with his new cat Mama-Mia, Zodiac headed back toward his own house confidently. "Can't wait till you see this old house I got Mama, I know you'll love it much as I did." Mama-Mia didn't really look like she heard Zodiac, still curled up with the tip of her tail over her nose, she was defiantly his kind of cat.
