Please check the description of your lot to see if you can build a chicken coop or barn. The size of the coop or barn does not matter- so long as it says you can build one, you can have any size.

~Miscellaneous Structures~
Pond- 3,000G
This lovely little pond can go anywhere on your lot as long as you have room. (it takes up a little less space than the Chicken coop). If you buy fish to stock the pond from Lovely Wendy's Gift Shoppe then eventually ducks may come to the pond. The ducks that migrate there must stay on the pond, but on occasion you may find a duck egg near the pond. Put it in your incubator to hatch a duck which will stay on your farm and never migrate away. (Ducks you hatch yourself cannot breed, but the females lay eggs that can sell for a nice price or you can sell the ducks you hatch for a hefty 3,500G to the animal store).
Windmill- 2,500G and 10 Lumber
If you have any excess fodder after feeding your animals you can drop it in one end of the windmill. The spinning wheel will grind it and gradually combine it with water at a bottom tank which can turn it into Chicken Feed or Flour (every even numbered day the wheel makes Chicken Feed, every odd numbered day it makes flour).
Pet House- 4,000G and 15 Lumber
You start with one of these on your house for whatever pet you choose to bring with you to Juniper Village, if you bring one at all. If your relationship with one particular wild animal builds to a high level, it might show up at your door for you to keep it if you have any extra pet house for it to stay in.
